Course Information

A family-centred model of service provision seeks to build and strengthen family capacity to support child development and learning. One approach to enhancing family capacity is the use of specific, evidence-based strategies to foster parental self-efficacy and involvement. Current research evidence demonstrates significant relationships between parental self-efficacy and involvement and positive child and family outcomes.

This webinar will:

  • examine evidence regarding the relationships between parental self-efficacy and involvement, and the developmental outcomes for children who are DHH;
  • present findings from a recent study investigating the potential effects of telepractice service delivery on parental self-efficacy and involvement; and
  • share strategies for enhancing parental self-efficacy and involvement.
