Dr Crossland is one of the most reputable ENT surgeons in the Northern Territory. He specialises in cochlear implantation, paediatric and adult otology, children’s ENT and general rhinology.

He graduated from the University of Manchester in the UK. After basic surgical training he worked at the Wellcome Sanger Institute in Cambridge and obtained an MD (Doctor of Medicine) in the Genetics of Hearing Loss. He then undertook Otolaryngology Specialist training in hospitals based around the East of England.

After obtaining his FRCS, he undertook a fellowship in Cambridge in implantation otology (including cochlear implants) and complex middle ear disease. This was followed by a fellowship in Indigenous ear disease and remote medicine in Darwin.

Dr Crossland believes Darwin offers a unique lifestyle and exposure to an incredible spectrum of disease that most doctors in Australia would rarely experience. He regularly visits remote communities as well as practising in the public and private hospitals in Darwin.

He is Surgical Supervisor of Otolaryngology training in Northern Territory and a Senior Lecturer at Flinders Medical School.
