Associate Professor Kong is a well-known paediatric and adult ENT surgeon who performs one of the highest number of cochlear implant surgeries per year in Sydney.
Associate Professor Kong specialises in ear surgery, hearing, cochlear implantation, and children’s ENT. After completing his surgical training in Sydney he spent nearly two years in the UK and Europe specialising in advanced ear, hearing, cochlear implantation, and acoustic neuroma surgery before returning to Sydney.
Based on Sydney’s North Shore, he regularly operates at North Shore Private Hospital, The Mater Hospital North Sydney, and Macquarie University Hospital. He is one of the principal surgeons at NextSense and performs one of the highest number of cochlear implant surgeries in Sydney each year.
He is a respected teacher of surgery at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for the University of Sydney and the Director of the Visiting Otology Fellowship Program at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He runs the RPA Hospital Otology and Temporal Bone Course in Sydney and courses in Endoscopic Ear Surgery.
