NextSense Head of School Antonella Dolores has been recognised nationally, with judges naming her an Excellence Awardee in the 2025 Australian Education Awards.
Antonella was recognised for her dedication to advancing the educational outcomes for children with sensory disability.

The awards showcase top-performing schools and educators, highlighting their outstanding achievements and transformative work impacting the lives of young people across Australia.
Through her role as Head of School, Antonella leads the delivery of high-quality, individualised education for children who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind or have low vision at NextSense School, our specialist campus at Macquarie University in Sydney. Antonella oversees our three programs for children from Kindergarten to Year 6: Spoken Language, Sign Bilingual, and Blind and Low Vision.

Antonella is among seven educators named Excellence Awardees in the Department Head of the Year category in the Australian Education Awards. The overall award winner will be announced at a gala dinner on 8 August.
