About the program

The Master of Disability Studies offers the opportunity to develop the specialist knowledge and skills to adapt materials, and apply specialised instructional techniques to meet the needs of individuals with sensory disabilities.

Course details

Students can choose from three specialisations:

  • Sensory Disability
  • Education: Blindness/Low Vision
  • Education: Deaf Hard of Hearing.

The course is suited to:

  • allied health and other professionals seeking to complete studies in disability, or looking to advance or develop their career in the growing disability sector
  • qualified teachers wishing to obtain a specialist qualification to teach students who have either hearing or vision loss
  • teachers already working in the sensory disability field wishing to upgrade their skills and qualifications.
