Dr Johnson Huang

Dr Huang practises in Newcastle as a qualified ENT surgeon specialising in otology and skull base surgery. His surgical experience includes cochlear implantation and complex ear cases, through to sinonasal pathology.

Dr Huang completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of NSW in 2003. He embarked on his internship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown and completed medical registrar positions at various hospitals. He has an active interest in clinical research and achieved a Master of Surgery (ORL) at University of Sydney in 2010. Johnson qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2014, specialising in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He then completed post-fellowship sub-specialty training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, 2016-17.

Dr Huang joined Hunter ENT in 2017. He is a personable, approachable and caring surgeon. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling, photography and classical music. In addition, he provides Outreach Clinic service to Hunter’s underprivileged and Indigenous population and is actively teaching and lecturing medical students, surgical trainees and Allied Health staff.
